Andrew Ho

Andrew is an experienced trial lawyer specializing in all areas of criminal defense. He has defended high-profile cases that have garnered international media attention. Throughout his career, Andrew has achieved not guilty verdicts in numerous complex criminal cases, including first-degree murder, sexual assault, armed robbery, felony assault, domestic violence, DUI, burglary, fraud, and drug offenses, among many other serious matters. He has defended thousands of individuals in his legal career, always with a client-centered approach that focuses on the particular needs of his clients and their families.

Andrew’s practice also focuses on defending licensed professionals before regulatory boards. He has counseled physicians, nurses, teachers, and other professionals facing regulatory action. He has successfully defended actions brought in the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, Department of Human & Health Services (TRAILS), Title IX investigations, and school disciplinary boards.

Andrew frequently receives recognition from the legal community for his achievements. He has served as a legal correspondent for a local news agency and has been honored with several awards, including being named one of Denver’s Top 40 under 40 by the Denver Business Journal and is routinely listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Criminal Defense, General Practice and Criminal Defense, White-Collar. 5280 Magazine regularly recognized Andrew as a Denver Top Lawyer.

The Colorado Supreme Court appointed Andrew to the Commission for the Alternate Defense Counsel, where he proudly serves approximately a thousand criminal defense lawyers and investigators. He also served as the President of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association, advocating for the legal interests of the Asian Pacific community.

Andrew serves as a faculty member at the National Criminal Defense College and the Colorado Alternate Defense Counsel, where he teaches trial skills. Additionally, he helps train trial lawyers at the Wisconsin State Public Defender's Office and is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver College of Law, where he educates law students in criminal law.

Before joining Recht Kornfeld, Andrew spent nine years as a Colorado State Public Defender in the Mesa County and Arapahoe County Regional Offices.

Andrew received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his law degree at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law with a concentration on Litigation.
